DTG's Intelligent Transfer
Technology Integrates with Pathfire
March 2006 (Austin, Texas) Digital
Transaction Group will be demonstrating its
new Intelligent Transfer Technology integration
with Pathfire at the NAB 2006 Media Show, April
24 - 27. DTG's Intelligent Transfer Technology
automates transfers for digital file-based content.
Already installed and working in television
broadcast stations, the Pathfire integration
is a completely automated process, - no human
intervention needed.
With the Xe Automation System
(pronounced "ex - ee"), broadcast
stations can do more with less, no longer having
to devote time and resources manually dubbing
syndicated programs, and manually entering timing
and segment data for the programs - the entire
process from ingest to playout is automated.
At one station, the staff was spending 16 hours
a day doing it manually. After installing the
Xe Intelligent Transfer Technology interface
to Pathfire, those 16 hours were reclaimed,
increasing staff productivity, saving time,
money and resources.
The Xe Intelligent Transfer Technology
manages the transfers of syndicated program
content from Pathfire to a play-to-air video
server and gets the metadata to generate the
program segments and timing. The Xe Automation
System creates the program segments and ad blocks
in its SQL database server. Because Xe can handle
multiple content IDs, the Xe ID's match the
station's house numbers assigned by traffic.
When Xe loads the channel's schedule, all the
programming is ready for on-air.
